WHAT IS A SPONSORSHIP?
We know you care about helping underprivileged children. And through the Yaadein Vision Sponsorship program, you can. Child sponsorship allows you to connect with a special child in need and make a lasting difference in their life.
When Children find out they’ve been sponsored, the joy they feel is indescribable. Just knowing that someone out there cares means more than you can imagine.
WHY BECOME A SPONSOR?
It gives you a chance to share a unique relationship with a child. As a sponsor you will provide important benefits to a special child living in poverty.
Since 2000 Yaadein Vision Group has worked tirelessly to lighten the burdens poverty places upon deprived children.
Today our sole ambition is to fight poverty by connecting sponsors with the children of Fiji and helping their communities.
There are thousands impoverished children who are waiting for someone like you.
AS A SPONSOR WHAT WILL YOU RECEIVE?
Building a relationship between you and your sponsored child is important, therefore we provide you with a number of benefits:
- When you become a sponsor, your will receive a special letter from Yaadein Vision.
- You will receive a package of your child’s photo and background information.
- A yearly progress report with updated information about your child.
- Opportunities to send your child letters and cards on special occasions.
- And, the satisfaction of opening your heart to a special child who will remember your generosity for a lifetime.
WHAT DO SPONSORED CHILDREN RECEIVE WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES?
With your help, sponsorship fully equips the child with all necessary stationeries for them to go back to school or stay in school for a whole year. eg text books, pens, pencils, rubbers, glue, ruler, mathematical set, colour pencils etc. We also pay towards their building fees, sports fees, exam fees, etc. School uniforms and school bags are provided on need only basis.
Part of the money goes towards improving their school’s teaching aids such as computers, library books and scanners. Any money left over goes into community projects such as providing garden tools, water tanks and bore hole pumps.
WRITE TO YOUR SPONSORED CHILD
Exchanging letters with your sponsored child can help build a wonderful relationship that will be rewarding to you both. Your words of friendship, wisdom and encouragement will help your child build self-esteem and hope for the future.
We strongly discourage you to send letters directly to your child or school. This is to safe guard our children from predators and to protect you.
If you wish you may enclose a letter and a picture of yourself/family, but be sure to include your full name, your child’s full name, and your child’s school on the outside of the envelope to help us forward them.
Please note that your sponsored child will only write to you once otherwise it becomes too expensive for them.
VISIT YOUR SPONSORED CHILD
Your child would be tickled to have you visit. You can see for yourself how much your sponsorship is helping him or her. When planned, visiting your sponsored child can be a wonderful experience.
Please contact us as soon as possible when you know your travel dates. Our team will gladly help arrange a visit with your sponsored child. We will also provide you with strict guidelines and procedures to follow during your visit.
To protect both you and the children and their families, unannounced visits are prohibited.
We hope you understand that some restrictions on your visit are necessary – including visiting hours with your sponsored child and your responsibility for your own expenses. Please call us if you have any questions.
